Weird facts about Crabs:

Crabs taste with their feet. 🦀
Crabs have tiny taste sensors on their legs and pincers, so when they scuttle around, they’re basically sampling the terrain.

They can “smell” food in the water and use special chemoreceptors on their antennae and legs to detect chemicals and find tasty stuff nearby.

They are also opportunistic omnivores, which basically means they’ll eat just about anything they can get their claws on.

Typical Crab Menu:
• Dead fish (like in your video—free buffet!)
• Algae and seaweed
• Mollusks (clams, snails—they crack open the shells with their claws)
• Worms
• Small crustaceans
• Plankton (for filter-feeding crabs like porcelain crabs)
